Worship Leader Position

Purpose
To facilitate the creation of a weekly worship experience where God can speak clearly to convinced followers of Christ and those inquiring about the faith through authentic worship (music, drama and visual arts).
 
 
Ministry Responsibilities
  • Lead worship in the Sunday morning services and other special services.
  • Team with the Lead Pastor to plan, schedule and create compelling services and special events.
  • Direct communication between the ministry and support teams (pastor, audio & visual technicians, singers, musicians) to ensure a consistent flow during services.
  • Lead and strengthen the worship team of seasoned volunteers while seeking and incorporating additional participants.
 
 
Qualifications
  • A personal, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
  • A calling from God to the spiritual leadership of arts ministry in a church.
  • Willingness to be accountable to God, the Lead Pastor, the Leadership Team, and the congregation.
  • Ability to lead worship vocally and instrumentally.
  • Experience in leading contemporary worship in a church setting.
  • Working knowledge of modern audio-visual tools and their application in worship.
  • Creative and energetic with strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Willingness to be a team player characterized by openness, flexibility and integrity.
 
 
Position Details (part-time salaried position)
Approximately 10 hours per week:
  • Sundays (rehearse, lead worship, post-service teardown)
  • Weekly staff meeting (currently Tuesday morning)
  • Weekly Worship Team rehearsal (currently Wednesday evening, day and time flexible)
  • Weekly personal preparation/meditation
  • Monthly commission meeting

Ten hours per week for 49 weeks of the year (3 Sundays off). To be paid on the 15th & 30th of each month.
